I wouldn't recomend using oven cleaner, if you get it on the paint say bye bye paint. You can try getting it hot but that didn't do anything for me it just made it harder, and don't try scraping it with a putty knife it will scratch the thin chrome. What I had to do was use a very fine steel wool and a chrome polish, oh yeah and lots of elbow grease. Good luck.
